Your Guide to Race Day in Japan.

What makes a race day in Japan so exciting?
Driver skill, team strategy, and car performance all shape the race. But even if you do not know the rules, you can enjoy the speed, sound, atmosphere, and excitement of a Japanese race day up close.

Are Japanese circuits difficult to get to?
A race day can be part of a wider trip in Japan. Depending on the venue, you can travel by car, shuttle bus, or organized tour package, then enjoy nearby sightseeing spots, local food, and hot springs as part of your weekend getaway.

Can families with children enjoy a race day?
Many circuits offer family-friendly activities and hands-on experiences for children.
Facilities such as baby-care rooms and diaper-changing stations may also be available depending on the venue, so it is worth checking event information before
your visit.

Do I need to stay in one seat all day?
You do not have to stay in one seat. You can move around the circuit and enjoy different views of the action. With a paddock ticket, you may be able to enter special behind-the-scenes areas and see cars or team areas up close. Food areas, event booths, and camping areas also make it easy to spend the whole day at your own pace.

Real stories. Real excitement. See how fans enjoy race days in Japan.

When my boyfriend invited me, I thought, "A car race? Sounds kind of boring." But once I got there, the speed, the sound, and the atmosphere completely changed my mind. Before I knew it, I was taking photos and having the best time.

A regular race ticket and parking pass are enough to have a great day, but this year we upgraded to a pit walk ticket, which let us see the cars and drivers up close. My kids absolutely loved it. Next time, we want to try a paddock ticket for an even more behind-the-scenes experience.

The pit walk was definitely the highlight of my day. I got to see the drivers up close—and even received an autograph. Later, I spotted my favorite driver's towel at the event plaza and bought it right away. I never imagined I'd find a favorite driver and enjoy the fan culture that comes with motorsport.

I only went because a friend invited me, but hearing the engines roar at the circuit and watching the cars race past just a few meters away was completely different from watching on TV. Even without knowing much about racing, I had an amazing time.
